The 8th North American Drug Discovery workshop in Cambridge on April 12 will bring together an international panel of experts from the pharmaceutical industry (Takeda Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Cerulean, Ischemix, and others) at the forefront of ADME-Tox and Drug Discovery to discuss recent innovations in the field and their application in drug development. The workshop is going to start with the keynote presentation by Dr. Ernie Bush of the Drug Safety Executive Council (DSEC) where he is going to share the results of a recent industry survey DSEC conducted about investment in new predictive safety technologies. Other talks will cover application of such new predictive technologies, new technologies and models such as stem cells, effective outsourcing, and emerging trends in preclinical development.

Admission for the event is free for drug discovery companies and academia and$75 for service providers, and includes complimentary breakfast and lunch that will give the attendees the opportunity to view posters and network with frontrunners of the ADME-Tox industry. Posters on topics of application of new ADME-Tox technologies, case studies of successful drug development are still accepted.
